B.C. Girls tops at National Water Polo Championships

B.C.'s Pacific Storm Cadet Girl's water polo team took the gold medal at the Canadian National Water Polo Championship held over the weekend in Toronto.

The 12 member team made up of B.C.'s finest 14 & 15 year old players came out strong. From the beginning it was apparent they were the team to beat. The gold medal game saw Pacific Storm matched with Montreal powerhouse Dollard des Ormieux. "We played strong and in control. We attacked first and it continued from there", said head coach Ian Goodman. The B.C. girls posted a decisive 8-4 victory to win gold. They remained undefeated in the championship.

Individual honours went to Goodman named All Star coach and Kelsey Campbell who was named to the All Star team.
