CNWPL Pacific
Division League Opener
Vancouver, B.C. - The CNWPL Pacific Women’s Division opened this
weekend with fast paced action and high scoring match ups. Teams in
the newly formed division are a vibrant mix of Pacific storm cadet
and youth girls, Senior, Junior and Youth National team members and
veteran players. Catch the action of the CNWPL Pacific Division --
next up February 4 at VAC & February 5 at CCAC in Coquitlam.
GAME 1
Team 3 coached by Celso Rojas defeated John Stockale's Team 4 4
-3 in a close, well matched game.
Goal scorers for Team 3 -Kelly Stewart, Carmen Eggens, Jessie
Mather-Lingley and Alex Kohli
Goal scorers for Team 4 - Candice Phillippe, Talia Le Duc and Monika
Eggens
GAME 2
Team 1 coached by Celso Rojas and anchored by Sue Gardiner and
Angela Johnson dominated throughout but James Gardiner's Team 2
worked ferociously to narrow the gap in a 7 - 11 game.
Goal scorers for Team 1 - Sue Gardiner came in with 6, Ashley
Forsyth, Athina Vazeos, Angela Johnson, Emmi Winder and Laura Shaw
all added singles.
Goal scorers for Team 2 - Biz Pannell led the scoring with 3,
Allison Campbell and Christa Giles each added a pair.
GAME 3
Team 1 defeated Team 3, 6 - 5
Goals scorers for Team 3 - Carmen Eggens with a pair, Jakie Kohli
with a triple
Goal scorers for Team 1 - Laura Shaw and Angela Johnson each came in
