Thunder nabs top spot in Pacific Women's Division

The CNWPL Pacific Women's Division saw high scoring match ups over the weekend in the second round of league play. Ian Goodman's Thunder holds top spot with a 4 win no loss record. Game 5
James Gardiner's Hurricanes defeated Celso Rojas's Typhoons 9-5. 
Quarters: (4-2) (6-3) (8-5) (9-5)

Jr. National team member Kerri Kaukinen home from Montreal heats up the action for Hurricanes.

Typhoon's Carmen Eggens and Hurricanes's Kerri Kaukinen went head to head putting in 4 goals a piece. Hayley Wade had a single for the Typhoons. Sarah Daly popped in a double for the Hurricanes and Biz Pannell, Allison Campbell and Erika Brown added singles.

Game 6
Ian Goodman's Thunder defeated John Stockdale's Lightning 10 - 8.

Quarters: (5-1) (6-4) (8-6) (10-8)

Thunder opened strong and set the pace throughout the game.

Sue Gardiner just back from the Commonwealth Water Polo Championships in Perth, Australia scored 4 goals for Thunder, Angela Johnson matched it with 4 of her own and Laura Shaw came in with 2.

Saara Majuri led the scoring race for Lightning with 3, Monika Eggens added 2, Kirstn Mase and Talia leDuc had singles.

Game 7
Ian Goodman's Thunder pulls in a second win as they defeat James Gardiner's Hurricanes 10-8.
Quarters: (2-1) (3-3) (7-5) (10-8)

Athina Vazeos led the scoring for Thunder with 4, Angela Johnson added 3, Sue Gardiner, Emmi Winder and Tracey Goodman added singles.

Allison Campbell topped the scoring for the Hurricanes with 4, Biz Pannell, Kelsey Campbell, Veronica Rojas and Erika Brown each popped in singles.

Game 8
Celso Rojas's Typhoons walked away with the win in a 10 - 2 game over John Stockdale's Lightning.

Quarters: (2-1) (5-1) (8-2) (10-2)

Typhoon's Carmen Eggens and Jessie Mather-Lingley tied for top scorer with 3 a piece, Emily Pledge, Kelly Stewart, Hayley Wade and Cecily Morgan-Jonker added singles.
Lightning's scorers were Saara Majuri and Monika Eggens.
