Alberta Open - BC Coaches Quotes:
Bantam Boys (U14) - Pacific Storm B - Silver-Coach Cole Smith
"The boys got better as the tournament went on. It was a disciplined effort".

Bantam Girls - Fraser Valley Water Polo - Gold - Coach Justin Mitchell
"Our girls had a slow 1st and 2nd quarter ion the final. After the half they played as a team instead of individuals. In the end our defense paid off".

Bantam Girls - Pacific Storm - Silver-Coaches Athina Vazeos & Saara Majuri
"The girls had an amazing tournament from the first game to the last…there was outstanding improvement. They adapted to every situation they were presented with and were extremely coach-able".

Cadet Boys (U16) - Fraser Valley Water Polo - Bronze - Coach Ian Mitchell
"This year's performance was better than last year. We're looking to keep getting better every year".

Cadet Boys - Pacific Storm B - Silver Coach Ryan Bazeley
"Over the course of the weekend the team showed dramatic improvement over previous weeks-we'll be looking to build on that in anticipation of Nationals coming up in May".
Zack Matthews coach of the 6th place Pacific Storm A -"Our younger cadet team had an impressive tournament record of 3 wins and 3 losses. Players showed lots of potential and exceptional team work. Some of the players showed that we should consider them for the top team at Nationals".

Cadet Girls - Pacific Storm - Gold - Coach John Stockdale
"This was the first chance for us to test ourselves…it is a new group and a new dynamic. The team proved themselves throughout the tournament but we know we still have work to so to get a medal result at the National Championship".

Youth Girls (U18) - Pacific Storm - Gold - Coach James Gardiner
"We tried to do things differently…we worked on zones rather than the stereotypical Storm press. Girls performed well everyday using the Alberta open as a training camp for the National Championship."

Water Polo is the fastest growing sport in North America.
