BC High School Water Polo Championship Biggest Ever

Vancouver, B.C. - The 2007 BC High School Water Polo Championship was played over the weekend at WaterMania in Richmond. The 4 day event was well attended and a huge hit with spectators. "This is great water polo" said a Yale Secondary supporter. The championship was the biggest ever with 17 schools from across the province participating.

In final play - the gold medal game saw Carson Graham triumph over Maple Ridge Secondary 5 - 3. The bronze medal went to Moscrop/Burnaby Mountain combined.

BC High Schools Water Polo Championship 2007 final standings:
GOLD - Carson Graham combined
SILVER - Maple Ridge Secondary
BRONZE - Moscrop/Burnaby Mountain combined

Dover Bay from Nanaimo received the Sportsmanship Award.

Many thanks to tournament organizers, volunteers, referees, teacher sponsors and coaching staff for making the 2007 BC High School Water Polo Championship an enormous success!
