BC
Women named to National Team Rosters
Vancouver,
B.C. - BC is fast becoming Canada's hotbed of water polo
talent. National Women's teams were recently announced
and BC athletes dominated every roster. BC Water Polo
congratulates these young women for achieving a high
level of excellence and accomplishment.
7th
FINA Junior Women's Worlds Championships
Four BC Jr. Women will represent Canada at the Jr. World
Championships in Porto, Portugal July 23-29, 2007.
Carmen Eggens, Kerry Kaukinen and Candice Philippe who
have been centralized in Montreal this year as members
of the Jr. team will be joined by Saara Majuri of
Coquitlam- who was recently added to the Jr. roster.
Youth
Team Australia
Five BC Youth Women were named to the National Youth
Team Australia roster. Congratulations to Monika Eggens,
Athina Vazeos, Kelly Stewart, Jakie Kohli and Kelsey
Campbell. Team
Australia will centralize in Vancouver prior to
departing for the Australia International Tournament
July 4 - 9, 2007 at Sidney's Ryde Center. This is
expected to be a highly competitive tournament. Both
Australia and US teams have established a strong
international presence at this level and will be the
ones to beat.
Youth
Team Dominican Republic
Three BC Youth Women were named to the Youth Team
Dominican Republic roster. Congratulations to Kirstn
Mase, Allison Campbell and Biz Pannell. Hayley Wade has
been named as an alternate. Team Dominican will
centralize in Montreal before traveling to Santo Domingo
to participate in the Youth Pan Am's August 3 -12, 2007.
