BC OPEN kicks off 2008 Water Polo Season

Vancouver, B.C. - Catch the non stop action of the hottest, fastest growing sport in North America. The BC OPEN Water Polo Championship January 25, 26 and 27, 2008 at Richmond's Watermania -14300 Entertainment Way - features top men's and women's talent from across Canada and the US. The BC OPEN officially kicks off the tournament season with exciting, physical, fast paced play.

Top US team, California's Stanford is the 2 time BC OPEN Women's champion. B.C.'s Pacific Storm A, the reigning National champions, are expected to wage a powerful battle to reclaim the home title. High caliber play will dominate this kick off to the 2008 season.

B.C.'s Pacific Storm Men are the defending BC OPEN Men's champions. They are expected to fend off strong challengers from hometown Fraser Valley Water Polo and last year's challengers to the crown Washington 1.
