"I've been playing water polo for more than half my life!" says Candice Phillippe a charismatic 17 year old. Further investigation reveals she first gripped a water polo ball at age 6. It was a family sport, her father played, her older brother had begun playing and Candice wanted to join the fun. Fun being the operative word--it's what she's been having ever since. "I love spending time with friends, playing as a team, training hard and setting goals." It has paid off in many ways, in January of this year Candice was selected as a member of the Canadian Youth Pan Am team. She and her teammates traveled to Mexico City for the Games and returned wearing gold medals. In March she'll be off to Hawaii for the Aloha Tournament and the Rainbow Classic, "I love sharing the enjoyment of the sport with everyone".
