Iain
Lark is Making Waves Down Under.
Iain Lark is
a North Vancouver native, a former North Vancouver Cruiser and
since 2002 a prominent member of the Senior National Men's
Water Polo team.
Last June he graduated from the University of Calgary with his
Bachelor of Commerce and found himself at a crossroad. At 24,
he wanted to peruse his Masters degree and a career in
Investment Banking, continue playing with the Senior National
team but also create some down time to just enjoy life. His
solution was a great one -while still a member of the National
team he is in Australia for one year playing in the highly
competitive Club League, joining the Canadian team for major
tournaments and international events. He's making waves down
under as this Australian news report indicates!
Canadian international Iain Lark spearheaded the Victorian
Tigers to a 9-8 National Water Polo League victory over
Brisbane Sirromet Barracudas at Hawthorn Pool here last night.
The 24-year-old Commonwealth silver medallist threw in three
goals as the Tigers held out a rampaging Barracudas team in
the final quarter.
The Tigers were a goal ahead at halftime and 8-6 up at the end
of three quarters. Barracudasą Richard Davis made it 8-7 but
Aussie Shark Ryan Moody gave the Tigers a two-goal buffer
before allowing Commonwealth champion Adam Richardson to pull
one back late in the game.
