Calling Water Polo Players who want more water polo this summer!
Plans have now been finalized for the Surrey Orcas Summer Camp in Kelowna Aug 29-Sept. 3. We need your commitment by Thursday August 3.
Who: Target age of campers U14, U16, U18 ages
When: Sunday, Aug. 29 appx. 4 pm through Friday, Sept. 3 at appx. 3 pm
Where: Kelowna, BC. Camping at Bear Creek Park (9 km off Hwy 97 west of Kelowna) Campsites already reserved for families and groups; water polo training in Lake Okanagan and at the indoor pool in Kelowna (H2O Fitness Adventures)
What: A water polo camp to develop skills and team strategies; includes 1 dry land and two water practices per day—a fun and family friendly camping experience
Host: Surrey Orcas Water Polo with assistance from Kelowna Ogopogos Swim Club

Pacific Storm Seeks U14 Development Girls’ Coaches
In this role you will report to the Girls’ Head Coach, Kalee Harris, to provide on-deck coaching for the U14 girls’ age groups at weekly practices as well as attend tournaments, including local and out of town competitions. Ideal candidates will possess a sincere interest in developing young athletes with a focus on skill development and basic game fundamentals.

Fraser Valley Water Polo (FVWP) Club offers developmental and high performance training to 105 boys and girls ages 7 to 17 years. Our non profit amateur sports club seeks qualified applications for Coaching Staff for our Boys’ & Girls’ Programs for the upcoming 2010-11 season. Pacific Sport - Fraser Valley 2010 Coach of the Year
CONGRATULATIONS to Justin Mitchell, Head Coach Fraser Valley Water Polo Club! Justin's coaching achievements have been recognized by PacificSport Fraser Valley, as was recently acknowledged at the June 4th, 2010 PSFV Awards Night as the 2010 Coach of the Year!


Pacific Storm Senior Women Team: National Bronze Medalists
Storm Senior Women took the Bronze Medal at the Senior Women's Nationals in Montreal in a 6 to 1 victory over Calgary. The Senior Team was entirely made up of Storm Alumni including Water Polo Canada's #1 Goalie - Rachel Riddel and recently graduated 18U athlete Meghan Lappan. Special recognition to Monica Eggens who was named as the #1 All Star. The Team was coached by brother & sister team, James & Sue Gardiner. Congratulations to all!

Head Coach of Girls Programs
The Pacific Storm Water Polo Club is seeking a highly motivated leader to take on the role of Girls’ Head Coach for all age groups including competitive and development programming. In this role the individual will be responsible for setting the goals, providing the guidance and mentorship to lead all coaching efforts for the Girls’ program including on-deck facilitation for all practices and coaching at all tournaments; local and out of town competitions.

Congratulations to the Fraser Valley Squad for taking the bronze at the U16 National Club Championship

Gurpreet Sohi & Alexa Tielmann of FVWP were named to the 2010 16U Girls NCC All Star Team at the tournament

Pacific Storm Water Polo U18 Team: National Bronze Medalists
Congratulations to the Pacific Storm squad for toaking the bronze at the womens U-18 National Club Championship.

Congratulations to the FVWP squad for winning the title. The WPC press release detailing the tournament, including all star and MVP performances by several of the squad members can be found here.


2010 Provincial High School Water Polo Championships
Once again a fantastic event! Congratulations to all the athletes - especially all the new participants in the BC Water Polo Association sanctioned event - who provided a great 4 days of competition.
A special thank you to all the volunteers, coaches, teacher and parent sponsors that made the event possible.
Score Sheet - Updated May 3, 2010 - now link includes the tournament results, MVPs, tournament All Star teams and Sportsmanship Award. Tournament Directors will be distributing and mailing the awards to these students. Photos of the two gold medal teams (Tiers 1 and 2) will be posted here in the near future..
